Nail care
Care
between visits
A few simple habits keep your manicure looking fresh for longer and your natural nails strong underneath. Here is how to look after them until we see you next.
Everyday care
Small rituals that make the biggest difference, whatever treatment you have.
Oil your cuticles
A drop of cuticle oil each day keeps the skin soft and the nail flexible, which helps prevent lifting and chips.
Moisturise your hands
Use a nourishing hand cream after washing your hands, and massage a little into the nail and cuticle as you go.
Wear gloves
Protect your nails from hot water and cleaning products when washing up, cleaning or gardening.
Nails are not tools
Avoid opening cans, peeling stickers or scraping with your nails. Use the pads of your fingers instead.
Never pick or peel
Peeling gel or BIAB pulls away layers of your natural nail. If you need it off, let us remove it gently for you.
Tell us early
If anything lifts, chips or breaks one week after your appointment, get in touch and we will take a look.
Aftercare by treatment
A little extra care in the first day or two helps every finish last.
Regular polish
Polish can feel dry within minutes but takes a few hours to fully set. Take care with bags, keys and zips straight after your appointment, and avoid hot baths or showers for the rest of the day.
Gel & BIAB
Your nails are fully cured when you leave, so you can carry on as normal. Keep up your cuticle oil, wear gloves for chores and come back to us for removal rather than picking at the edges.
Pedicures
If you have regular polish on your toes, bring open-toed shoes or sandals to wear home. Moisturise your feet daily and gently file any hard skin between visits.
When to come back
As a guide, here is how often we recommend booking to keep your nails looking their best.
